I have nine years of experience in the counseling field, and I thrive in ensuring my clients feel that they are “in good hands” through our working therapeutic relationship. It is important to me that my clients feel understood and heard and that our connection is based on trust, hope, and faith and that we can get there together. Our partnership will allow you to understand what you are experiencing, whether it is your first time seeking counseling or you have had previous experience, grounding your own sense of who you are, the reason you feel the way you do, and how to make the change you desire.
My approach
My approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, and Trauma-Focused. This also includes relaxation techniques and coping skills to empower you to accomplish your personal goals. I use an empathetic strategy to help you with your specific needs. Every person has a different story and therefore needs specific care. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
My focus
I work with anyone that is ready to receive help and learn to overcome life challenges and gain a better quality of life.
My communication style
My communication style includes empathy and openness. I encourage great communication skills and will teach you to achieve them. With great communication comes great achievements and empowerment toward your mental health.
My journey to mental healthcare
My life revolves around trying to help people. My experience with counseling in my own life and how it contributed to my mental growth lead me to want the same for others. I have a Master's degree in Counseling for Mental Health and began my counseling experience nine years ago. I keep up-to-date with training and learning new approaches to continue my efforts to help you.
My goals for you
My therapeutic goals are to help clients understand realistic goals and expectations. This includes realistic progress that comes with time and effort.
My first session with you
My goal for the first session is to make you feel at ease about our therapeutic relationship. I will also establish specific needs and goals to begin setting you up for a successful mental health endeavor.
