My name is Khandyce Pitner - Licensed Professional Counselor. My approach to therapy is Eclectic - I use a multitude of approaches to that are tailored to the needs of each individual. I focus on trauma, depression, and anxiety.
My approach
My approach is specifically tailored to each individual. Regardless if one individual has the same diagnosis as another individual, I build a strong rapport with each patient to learn what works best for that patient, whether that be CBT, DBT, Positive Psychology, Humanistic, and many more.
My focus
I have worked with a multitude of individuals ranging from substance use, low-SES, women's issues, depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and more.
My communication style
I create a safe space for each individual, allowing them to have an "open-door" welcoming policy. I enjoy creating a space where every individual feels comfortable expressing what they need from me and how I can best assist them. Resources, words, actions, whatever can help the individual feel comfortable and confident in this process.
My journey to mental healthcare
Having endured the traumas of the world, I deeply desired to aid others in creating a meaningful life that they love, enjoy, and feel peace within.
