I am Dr. Claude-Aline Charles, and I am a Licensed Psychologist. For more than twenty years, I have been supporting my clients in their journey to becoming the best version of themselves. Therapy can be a space for healing and enlightenment, where clients can embark on a rewarding and life-changing experience.
My approach
My approach is client-centered and strength-based, meaning that each individual is met without judgment and provided with feedback and education regarding their unique needs. Most importantly, clients are guided in establishing goals of therapy in order to achieve the best possible results.
My focus
Working through the challenges of depression, anxiety, and trauma in an individualized format, I typically work with adults encountering a series of life changes and transitions. I specialize in understanding cultural aspects and life, family, and community concepts.
My communication style
I am an active listener who prioritizes clients feeling seen and heard. All clients are provided with a safe space to share and process their innermost thoughts and concerns.
My goals for you
Setting goals for therapy is a collaborative effort, and the steps to achieving them are openly discussed in the first session. Goals are designed to be attainable and incorporated into each session.
My first session with you
The initial session, or an Intake, is an opportunity for clients to share what brings them to therapy and provide some history. It is also an opportunity for me to review key aspects of how therapy works and what to expect in subsequent sessions based on the goals.
