Shelley Mondelli

Hello, my name is Shelley Mondelli. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor and the concept of a peaceful mind is my main goal in this profession.I strive to understand a troubled mind and help to bring about change within.If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, self doubt or low self esteem, don’t go through this alone. I am here to help you sort these feelings out and develop coping skills.

My approach

My philosophy is to always start where a person is, to be culturally sensitive, to listen to what is being said and not being said and ultimately to create a nurturing and goal oriented environment to achieve balance and well-being.

My focus

I have extensive experience working in organizations supporting the mentally ill and developmentally disabled population from children with behavioral issues to young adults, middle aged and elders with severe mental illness, substance use and co occurring disorders. I understand the difficulty in reaching out to a stranger and revealing your emotions and thoughts but I am open to any questions you may have and encourage you to contact me through email or phone. The first step is always the most challenging, but once taken the next ones can be so rewarding.

As a therapist, I draw inspiration from many different sources, and have found that an integration of approaches and practices that are uniquely curated to each person and family tend to be most effective in bringing about truly meaningful and sustainable change.

My journey to mental healthcare

From a young age I have always had a strong desire to help people. I feel and believe that every person deserves to live life to their fullest and happiest, however that may be.
