My name is Barb Adams. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have provided individual, couples, family, as well as group therapy for over 30 years. I also specialize in working with impaired professionals.
My approach
I provide a holistic approach which includes, a combination of techniques such as ACT, DPT, CBT, psychoeducational, and mindfulness. It takes strength and courage to reach out and ask for help, and I work to offer a warm and caring approach designed to help you feel comfortable in your journey.
My focus
I have an extensive history of working with many differing diagnoses. Some of my specialties include working with depression, anxiety, and substance abuse, among others. I have also spent over 10 years working specifically with impaired professionals in the medical and legal professions.
My communication style
I consider being a therapist as a calling, not just a job. My warm and caring demeanor has always helped me to create positive relationships with my clients and contributed to successful outcomes. My professional passion is to provide a safe and supportive space where I can walk alongside my clients as they grow and transition to healthy lifestyles.
