Hi, I am Robin Denk, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, emotional abuse, and trauma.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and attachment theory as tailored to your needs. My specialty is understanding you as an individual and customizing a plan that can help you organize and tackle obstacles.
My focus
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, emotional abuse, and trauma.
My communication style
I create a nonjudgemental safe space where I listen and ask questions to get curious about you and your experiences. We discover together what your obstacles are like for you and explore ways to tackle these obstacles.
My journey to mental healthcare
I experienced a personal loss during my first year of college. It was very painful and something I never expected to happen. It drove me to declare social work as my major to ultimately help others during painful times in their lives. I enjoy being able to empower individuals and couples on their journeys. We can sit with the uncomfortable, laugh together and utilize tools and techniques to accomplish your goals. Being a part of the growth and positive outcomes is extremely rewarding work.
My goals for you
I will ask you what you would like to take away from therapy. You may know immediately or it may take time and I can offer perspective from getting to know you on what might be most helpful.
My first session with you
Learning about you. A space to allow whatever comes up for you. Coming from a curious place about the different areas of your life, what supports and what obstacles you may encounter.
