My name is Tyundreya Lindsey and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Georgia. I have been in the mental health field for 8 years and I've worked with a diverse population, including mental health and substance abuse. My approach is centered around narrative (everyone wants to be heard) and solution-focused (moving past the issue) therapy. My passion is working with individuals and/or couples surrounding relationships; whether it be romantic, work, church, friends, etc.
My approach
Provide education and tools needed to challenge yourself in relationships such as setting boundaries, the "art of saying no," conflict relationships, narrative, and solution-focused therapy.
My focus
To be able to guide you in making sound decisions for yourself about your relationships without feeling guilt or shame. You will also be able to set and enforce healthy boundaries for yourself and others.
My communication style
I believe that every person deserves their own way of communication. Everyone is different and needs something different. Therefore, I communicate with each client according to their needs. However, one thing I will always do is listen to understand.
My goals for you
Successful care for my clients looks like those who are able to come to therapy and bring their whole self; whether "whole" or not. Progress looks like being able to show up as your authentic self and communicate your needs/wants/desires.
My first session with you
During the first session, you can expect to go over any questions/concerns you may have about therapy. We will also discuss you (the client) as a whole via assessment.
