My name is Danielle Bloch Beatt, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Sarasota, Florida. I am passionate about helping people navigate the emotional challenges in their lives in a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental way. As our lives have become increasingly complex, more and more we are becoming anxious, depressed, lonely, and confused about how to navigate relationships.
My approach
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Solution Focused Therapy. I tend to use an eclectic approach based on meeting people where they are and providing support and feedback to help encourage growth.
My focus
I love working with young adults and people in transitional phases of life. Major life changes such as college graduation, taking a new job, having a baby, or moving to a new city can be especially stressful. These transitions often cause anxiety and depression, and together we will work through that stress to find balance and calm.
My communication style
As a telehealth provider, I feel it is important to build rapport in face-to-face sessions. I feel that being a good listener is a key aspect of the therapeutic relationship, and I give my clients my full attention and ask thoughtful questions in order to build a deeper understanding. We will develop a conversation as we build a trusting relationship. I believe that all people are doing the best they can each day and that good relationships are based on trust and mutual respect.
My journey to mental healthcare
Listening to people's life stories is my passion. I am open and kind while still objective and honest. In the world we live in, it is important for each of us to find a person with whom we can be vulnerable but not afraid.
My goals for you
The goals of therapy are different for each individual. We will discuss your goals and check in periodically to see if the sessions are meeting your needs. As a therapist, I have no specific agenda. My hope is that through the therapeutic alliance you will develop the skills you desire to have the life you want to live.
My first session with you
Our first session will be an opportunity to see if I am a good fit for your needs. We will talk about what brings you into therapy now, past experiences and hopes for the future. We may talk about how you grew up or the family that you are currently part of as a way to better understand what is important. We will start to look at your strengths and the challenges that may be tripping you up or causing stress.
