Hi there, I'm Patricia!

Hello! I'm Patricia "Trish" Harris, a mental health counselor with 12 years of experience. I approach therapy with empathy and non-judgment, aiming to create a safe space where we can explore your goals, thoughts, emotions, and challenges. My focus is on understanding your experiences without judgment, building trust, and guiding you toward personal growth and well-being through compassionate support.

My approach

My theoretical approach to therapy is eclectic, meaning that it depends on you and what it is that brought you to therapy that determines my approach. I most commonly practice cognitive behavior therapy to assist clients with gaining the power over their thoughts. Each person is unique.

My focus

In my practice as a mental health counselor, I embrace an eclectic theoretical approach to therapy, recognizing that each person is unique. This means that the specific modalities I employ depend on your individual needs and the reasons that brought you to therapy. While I commonly utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to empower clients in taking control of their thoughts, I also draw from a range of other modalities to ensure a personalized and effective therapeutic experience tailored to your circumstances.

My communication style

The most common critique that I have received from clients is that I provide a warm environment where they can express themselves comfortably. You will feel my empathy and loyalty in every session because my interest is truly in enhancing the quality of your life.

My journey to mental healthcare

As I reflect on the chapters of my life, I recognize how every piece has contributed to shaping who I am today. It is the combination of being an empath and the multitude of diverse experiences I have had that led me to the path of therapy. What truly motivates me in my work is the deep-rooted drive to make a positive difference in the lives of others, fueled by my passion for helping and supporting individuals on their unique journeys.

My goals for you

Clients frequently praise the warm and comfortable environment I create, allowing them to express themselves freely. Throughout our sessions, you will experience my genuine empathy and unwavering loyalty, as my sole focus is on improving the quality of your life. Your well-being and growth are my utmost priorities, and I am dedicated to providing the support and understanding you need to thrive.

My first session with you

In our first session, we will explore what it is that brought you to therapy. When it is ok with you, you will share with me your story. Then you will identify what it will feel like when you have attained your therapeutic goals. Getting to know each client is a true honor, and I am very much invested in your therapeutic experience. I understand that it can be uncomfortable to open up and tell your life story to a stranger, and I will do my best to gain your trust.
