My name is Stephanie Vega, and I was born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in New York until I reached high school, where I continued my schooling in Florida. Graduating from the advanced standing Master in Social Work program at Florida Atlantic University has equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to provide effective guidance. Since then, I obtained my Licensure for Clinical Social Work and have gained experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in various settings.
My approach
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or relationship problems, I'm here to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or criticism. I want to empower my clients to gain new insights, develop effective coping strategies, and ultimately find their way toward a brighter future.
My focus
My passion for this field of work came alive through my own experiences, background, and journey to well-being. When we become intentional in confronting life's many obstacles, we can allow for the opportunity to become the best version of ourselves. Therapy is most effective when there is a partnership involved, and I am here to provide a deep understanding of the unique challenges that each person faces on their journey toward emotional well-being.
My communication style
I like to ensure that my client feels comfortable and at ease during sessions and especially not judged. I like to support my clients to become self-sufficient individuals.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have my own past, including mental health history, and I think it is something that I became passionate about when I realized how helpful it is to get someone else's perspective on challenges you may face.
My goals for you
I goal set WITH my clients.
My first session with you
I would ask them for their feedback on previous therapy experiences and then ask what they would like to prioritize during the therapeutic process.
