My name is Brandon Nite and I am an LCSW therapist out of Wausau, WI. I love integrating the mind and body within therapeutic practice. I tend to shy away from the "talk therapy" approach to best serve my clients in overcoming trauma symptoms. My vision is to help my clients realize they have everything they need to heal, progress, and thrive.
My approach
I utilize a combination of brainspotting, EMDR, motivational interviewing, DBT, and CBT. My primary focus is away from "talking" and more toward body and mind integration. I allow clients to lead within sessions as their bodies and minds know exactly what is needed for them to heal and thrive. I am simply there to support and facilitate the process.
My focus
I typically work with pre-teens, adolescents, and adults. I've worked with a variety of conditions including depression, anxiety, trauma (PTSD), grief, life adjustments, and relationship issues. I am not opposed to seeing anyone as the approaches and interventions I utilize can be universally applied. I welcome anyone seeking to heal and thrive.
My communication style
Within sessions, I like to allow the clients to lead the process. The environments I create may utilize soothing bilateral music to calm the nervous system as issues are worked through. I have a variety of music tracks that clients may choose from. I further allow clients to work on what intuitively/organically feels right for them to work on. I will always allow the clients choice in what feels correct for them and keep them within their window of tolerance as we safely explore trauma.
My journey to mental healthcare
Being a therapist has always been a passion of mine. Therapy has been the driving force behind much of my own recovery and that of my family. I recognize that many individuals may not feel worthy or lovable which is a painful place to be. My greatest hope is that at the end of the day, my clients feel loved and seen. I further hope they recognize their intrinsic value and worth as human beings. It has always been an honor to be a therapist and watch my clients grow, thrive, and win against the challenges of today.
My goals for you
I like to allow clients to set the pace in deciding what they want to work on and their biggest hopes in attending sessions with me. I will be there to assist clients in prioritizing what they want to work on first and change it up if they feel something needs to be adjusted. I am here to serve in whatever capacity they see fit. Goals will be revisited on a fairly regular basis to ensure that client symptoms are bettering and that they are getting everything they want from our visits together.
My first session with you
Clients should expect the first session will be utilized to assess where they are, which symptoms are most problematic, and ideally what they hope to accomplish within our work together. This will further grant opportunities for clients to get to know me and ask any questions or seek clarification.
