Hello, I'm Marie Albertson an LMHC in WA. I take a client-centered approach to therapy using both CBT and other modalities such as ERP. I specialize in treating Anxiety Disorders and OCD.
My approach
I use CBT in working with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and ERP in working with OCD.
My focus
I work with ages 13 and up treating anxiety, OCD, and related disorders.
My communication style
My goal in therapy is to help clients reach their next goal and to help them become their best selves. I assign homework and believe that the client who puts in time between sessions will have even better results.
My journey to mental healthcare
I had teenage friends who were in therapy in high school and I was impressed by the changes in their lives because of it. I decided I wanted to help people become their best selves as well.
My goals for you
I help clients talk about strengths, needs, and goals and we create a map together as we journey to the next goal.
My first session with you
In the first session, it will probably feel like I am asking a million questions. It is just to get a good idea of what is happening in your life so that we can put together the best plan. I will do a complete intake/assessment and we go from there.
