My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to becoming a therapist found me. Through a roundabout way, in another position, I was asked to jump into a college counselor role briefly and the counseling piece really stood out to me. Students smiled and sought me out to talk to, to help figure out things they were struggling with and that brought joy to me to be able to help in that manner. Shortly after that, I began my journey in studying professional counseling. It continues to bring me joy in helping others see their potential, to set and achieve goals for themselves, and ultimately, no longer need me.
My goals for you
No one is going to be ready to set a goal if I set it for them. Clients have to be ready to be involved in their own goal setting so that their goals are personalized for them and attainable.
My first session with you
My first session with a new client will consist of an intake, background, screening questions so that I can learn as much as I can about the client, what they'd like to accomplish through therapy and how I can best help them get there.
