My journey to mental healthcare
Becoming a therapist has been a lifelong goal for me. As they have seen my personal family members struggle with mental health and addiction, I sent out to be a resource and an avenue to help those who are struggling emotionally and to help them overcome those emotions. They say people become therapist for two reasons. The first reason is to fix themselves. The second reason is for the pure enjoyment of helping others become more successful in their own lives. I will let you decide why I chose to become a therapist.
My goals for you
I like to establish both short-term and long-term goals for my client. This allows my client to have motivation to work towards but also to be able to see accomplishment in themselves when they are accomplish their short-term goals. Encouragement clients to establish goals that improved their overall functioning and help them to overcome the challenges they are facing.
My first session with you
I enjoy getting to know my clients. Upon first introduction with my clients I want them to get to know me and my background as well as me getting to know them and their background. I try to focus the first session on understanding more about what the client is feeling, where they came from, and where they would like to go. This helps to establish a good concrete treatment plan so that clients can see the progress that they are making throughout treatment
