Hello! My name is Anna Koopman and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in northern Utah, offering telehealth services statewide. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults, specializing in anxiety, depression, and trauma. My therapeutic approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mind-Body Bridging (MBB) to support my clients in enhancing their mental health and achieving their personal goals.
My approach
In therapy, my approach is tailored to meet you where you are and align with your goals. I frequently utilize CBT, DBT, and MBB to help you explore and understand your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions, allowing us to pinpoint areas for growth and change.

My style is particularly effective for teens and young adults navigating social challenges and life transitions, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships. Together, we will identify and address negative patterns, build resilience, and boost self-confidence and self-esteem.
My communication style
Creating a comfortable, safe, and non-judgmental space for my clients is my top priority. My communication style is calm, friendly, and accommodating.
My journey to mental healthcare
I decided to become a therapist because of my passion for mental health. I understand that navigating mental health struggles can be incredibly challenging on your own, and I aim to be a supportive ally through that process. I find great fulfillment in helping others uncover their strengths and work through their difficulties, and I'm dedicated to providing guidance and and encouragement to foster growth and healing.
