My name is Wendy Cazares and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I approach each individual with the understanding that we all come with a unique journey in life that includes personal wisdom and the ability to build the changes they seek. My approach is rooted in empathy, compassion, and understanding.
My approach
I utilize an integrative approach to facilitate personal growth and resilience. I draw from various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Intervention, and Person-Centered.
My focus
My focus is on working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, low self-esteem, life transitions, relational issues, trauma, grief, and/or ADHD. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
My communication style
My sessions are characterized by a balance of warmth and professionalism by providing a welcoming and non-threatening space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings while also incorporating evidence-based techniques to address their concerns. Together we will work towards finding solutions, coping mechanisms, and process events to further address the individual's unique needs and strengths.
