Hi, my name is Christy Jones. I am a licensed clinical social worker in Texas and Oklahoma. I have about 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I like to use a mixture of cognitive behavioral theories, solution-focused therapy as well as person-centered therapy. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my family, going to concerts, and learning new things.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is warm, engaging, and affirming. You will be able to address your specific barriers that are preventing you from reaching your full potential by exploring and identifying positive coping skills, your strengths and increasing your self-awareness. Every session is an opportunity for growth.
My focus
I enjoy working with adults of any age to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, and grief and loss. I also can assist with life transitions and general well-being.
My communication style
I try to create a warm and engaging therapeutic environment that conveys trust and respect for my clients. My communication style is very authentic, genuine, and humorous.
My journey to mental healthcare
My career has included working in child welfare, private practice, medical settings as well as forensic settings. All of these settings have allowed me to connect with people that are struggling with life in various ways and hopefully, even if very small, I have been able to make a positive impact on their lives.
