I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years of experience, training and advocacy. I'm an open and accessible therapist with a warm, candid, and collaborative style. My approach
I use a collaborative approach to therapy using a variety of modalities. I primarily use an approach based on the dynamics of mind, brain, body, and spirit.
My focus
My clients come to me when they're experiencing emotional or mental distress and just want the pain to stop immediately. They have sleep problems, low self-esteem, family stressors, varying emotions around work/school, anger or indifference to everyone, anxiety, frustration by everything, or feeling hopeless! The problems may stem from unmet needs (love, belonging, guidance), various issues (anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, grief), or not meeting personal goals.
My communication style
I am passionate about reducing mental health stigma and advocating for awareness and understanding. While change can feel difficult and scary, you can learn powerful and safe ways to progress on your journey to becoming the person you truly want to be!
My journey to mental healthcare
I've been in the mental health field for over 15 years. What drives me to do this work is the profound fulfillment I get from empowering individuals to overcome their challenges and achieve personal growth. Witnessing positive transformations in clients' lives is incredibly rewarding. My personal experiences have fostered a deep empathy and understanding, motivating me to provide the best possible support. The opportunity for continuous learning and forming meaningful therapeutic relationships keeps me engaged and inspired in this field.

My first session with you
During the initial therapy session, clients can expect a welcoming environment where we build rapport and discuss confidentiality and consent. We will explore the reasons they are seeking therapy, gather relevant background information, and discuss their goals and expectations. I will provide an overview of the therapeutic process, explain the methods I use, and collaboratively develop an initial plan for therapy. Clients are encouraged to ask questions and clarify any concerns to ensure they feel informed and comfortable. We will also schedule future sessions and address any immediate needs.
