Sharon Heath, MBS, LPC. Licensed Professional Counselor, Texas. My approach is developing treatment tailor-made as a seamstress creates clothing for someone that aesthetically feels right and comfortable to wear.
My approach
When the student is ready, the teacher appears; and when the teacher is ready, the student appears. My approach emphasizes stress reduction and mental health balance through a combination of psychoeducation, psychotherapy, creative expression, art therapy, and biofeedback.
My focus
**Areas of Focus:** Anxiety, Coping with Chronic Illness, Codependency and Addiction, Navigating Confusion Around Achieving Personal Goals, Depression, Grief and Understanding the Process, Low Self-Esteem, Racial Shame
My communication style
My tone reflects respect and dignity, and I engage with clients innovatively, meeting them where they are in the moment. I often incorporate brief meditation and music to promote relaxation before addressing current concerns. I believe that when everyone thrives, we all benefit.
My goals for you
Goal setting is a highly personalized process, and I use active listening to encourage clients to tune into their senses and let their intuition guide them, much like a chef crafting a nutritious meal.
My first session with you
To build rapport, we’ll collaboratively outline the therapeutic approaches that resonate most with you, explore your reasons for seeking therapy, and clarify what you hope to achieve from the process.
