Erik Halgunseth

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#76583) with 11 years of experience. I received my Master's Degree from Texas University-San Antonio in Counseling and a Bachelor's degree from Texas Lutheran University in Theology. I have worked with adolescents and adults.

My approach

Therapy can be the key that leads to a more fulfilled life. I believe that skilled treatment can assist individuals with a variety of challenges. In order to succeed the Counselor and the Client must work together, following a well-organized plan to achieve the goals that the Client has chosen.

My focus

I have worked with adolescents and adults. I am bilingual and have worked effectively with Spanish speakers. I typically counsel clients dealing with Anxiety, Depression, and Anger among other issues.

My communication style

I enjoy an open communication style and letting the client share what they are comfortable sharing without pressure.

I enjoy helping others on their journey to work toward becoming the person they have always wanted to be.

My goals for you

I discuss with the client what goals they have and describe a plan to work towards the goals they have set.

My first session with you

In the first session, I normally do an intake to help gather information and have an idea what issues we will be focusing on in counseling.
