Hi there, I'm Nabiha!

My name is Nabiha Hasan, LCSW. One of my gifts is that, over the past 10 years, I have experience and comfort in working with all ages across various realms - anywhere from younger children to elder adults; I have a passion for working with people of varying cultures.

My approach

I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives, the role of the therapist is to be the bridge toward the path of establishing wellness. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, meaning a variety and combination of different modalities and methods throughout the healing process.

My focus

I am comfortable treating a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to anxiety, adjustment disorders (parenting/postpartum, women's issues, life changes, etc.), depression, trauma, and PTSD. I have a passion for working with multicultural individuals, particularly the South Asian and Middle Eastern populations, but have years of experience treating clients of all backgrounds. I find it intriguing how world cultures have so much in common. I do speak fluent Urdu/Hindi, and have basic knowledge of Punjabi, Arabic, and Spanish.

My communication style

I use a warm, inquisitive, holistic tone in sessions with clients. Healing is a process, and although one session is not enough to see long-term changes, you will feel relief after the intake, in knowing that you have made the right decision to seek change in your life.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist developed as a result of wanting to help others; I have a deep love for my work. Seeing the effects of healing drives me to continue what I do every single day.

My first session with you

As my client, you can expect to be empowered, engage in some humor from time to time, and most of all, be comfortable with being yourself.
