My approach
I normalize therapy and help individuals feel welcomed and supported to allow for growth and empowerment. I have had the privilege to have worked with several amazing people who took the difficult step of seeking and wanting help to create a better life by working through their obstacles and traumas. I believe that people have the capability of creating a happy and fulfilled life with love, joy, passion, and ease. Through coaching and therapy services, using the approach that best fit the client. I have assisted clients in making lasting changes that have inspired them to create a life that they love!fits
My focus
I have advanced training in the areas of intention goal setting, thought transformation, EMDR, trauma, mindfulness, cognitive behavior therapy, domestic violence, self-love, mental illness, and codependency. My therapeutic approach is supportive with gentleness, kindness, understanding, and love. I work with adolescents and adults, as well as children but only in person.
My communication style
I am committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can identify and work on your personal goals. There is a focus on self-care with the mind, body, and spirit as well as developing a daily mindfulness practice. I provide a safe and trusting environment while empowering my clients to discover unused resources and strengths.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always been passionate about helping others ever since I could remember. The reason for creating HIP Mental Wellness Group is to support others to find peace, tranquility, motivation, and wholeness within their own lives, and develop meaningful relationships. To help you discover the road that is the least resistance to you living your best life. I have been in the helping field for over 20 years, and still very passionate about others' wellbeing.
My goals for you
Developing collaborative plans and goals with my clients is significant to their future success. The client will help develop goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely to help create the life that they are seeking. Using motivation therapy to assist my clients with reaching their full potential tends to be very helpful throughout the goal accomplishment journey.
My first session with you
During our initial visit, it will be a period for you and me to get to know each other and get an idea of how to proceed. During the first session, I will ask you several questions related to your symptoms, what brought you to therapy, what is your presenting problem, your history, and discuss the type of therapy and length of treatment. Also, confidentiality, and other protocols, as well as, asking any questions you may have.
