Hi there, I'm Debra!

My name is Debbi Brod, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker originally based in Houston, TX, but now serving clients virtually. My approach to therapy is a blend of compassionate care and practical life coaching, helping individuals and couples unearth their authentic selves, cultivate healthy relationships, and foster emotional intelligence. I focus on guiding clients toward personal growth, self-awareness, and creating a balanced, fulfilling life.

My approach

My therapeutic approach combines solution-focused therapy, emotional intelligence, and life coaching principles. I help clients bridge cognitive thinking with emotional understanding, with a focus on building self-awareness, authenticity, and resilience while addressing relationship dynamics, communication, and personal growth.

My focus

I primarily work with individuals and couples who are seeking deeper self-awareness and meaningful connections. My clients are often motivated to explore their identity, enhance relationships, and develop healthier emotional patterns. I am especially comfortable treating those facing challenges in self-identity, relationship dynamics, and life transitions.

My communication style

I communicate with warmth, compassion, and a focus on solutions, creating a welcoming and non-judgmental environment. Working with me feels collaborative and supportive, with an emphasis on practical growth and emotional well-being.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist began with a career in business consulting, where I developed a passion for guiding people toward meaningful change. This passion, combined with my desire to help others discover their authentic selves and improve their relationships, drives my commitment to this work and fuels my purpose as a therapist.

My goals for you

I collaborate with clients to set clear, actionable goals that align with their values and desired outcomes. My approach is solution-focused, breaking down challenges into manageable steps to help clients achieve lasting positive change.

My first session with you

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming space where we focus on understanding their concerns, identifying their goals, and establishing a clear direction for therapy. I aim to create an atmosphere where clients feel heard, supported, and ready to begin their journey toward growth.
