I am Michelle Muckelroy, a License Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, with 12 years of clinical experience with ages 4-99. Working to restore balance and provide quality care is my goal.
My approach
My prominent therapeutic approach is CBT, BSFT, and Grief and Loss.
My focus
My client focus has been individuals ages 4-99. Many patients need help with cognitive distortions, anxiety, and depression. Life's transitions and unexpected turns in life create an opportunity to present in an effort to become more congruent.
My communication style
While a therapeutic approach is most important, it is important to choose a therapist who is open-minded and supportive. My multicultural upbringing, study of culture, religion, knowledge of sexual orientations, and educational background of over 25 years help me to meet the patient’s needs. I effectively help children restore balance, cope with bullying, self-esteem, and self-worth issues, help map out academic and behavioral plans for success, and help them move towards their own goals.

Providing therapy is simply another way to serve society through my gift with people of diverse backgrounds, help individuals achieve their own success, and use my education for the good of humanity.
My goals for you
After the initial assessment, assessing the patient's presenting problem, and setting therapeutic goals, the patient and I work towards those goals.

The first session is an opportunity to meet, establish an understanding of the patient’s clinical needs, and establish a therapeutic regard.
