My focus
I typically work with individuals, couples, and/or families. Those who are experiencing anxiety and depression, have experienced trauma in the past or present, family issues or conflicts, and marital difficulties are all welcome. I also specialize in working with children and teens who are coping with ADHD and other behavioral issues.
My communication style
My counseling style is pretty laid back. I offer a safe space where clients can feel comfortable to express themselves without fear or judgement.
My journey to mental healthcare
Growing up I always had a concern for others who were experiencing difficulties in their lives. At a young age I would always do whatever I can to offer assistance. This continued even through my teenage years. When I went off to college I thought I would focus on a career in business. However after obtaining my bachelor’s degree I business I realized that was not my calling and pursued my master’s in clinical mental health counseling, followed by obtaining my license as a LPC.
My goals for you
My approach to goal setting is to assist the client in identifying their current status and then identify their expectations. We then identify short term goals and long term goals.
My first session with you
During a first session introductions will take place. This allows me to get to know who the client really is outside of the issues they may be currently experiencing. During this session we identify the goals that the client would like to achieve.
