Hi, my name is Mary, I’m a licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee working with clients through telehealth services. Life should be about “doing more of what makes you happy”. I’m here to help you to a path of healing, empowerment, and getting back to being you. I’ve worked over 15 plus years helping individuals regain a sense of awareness in their life, with practical life strategies, with emphasis on the body and mind.
My approach
My approach to therapy is eclectic. I assist the client with setting clear goals and help navigate a path to assist them in reaching their desired goals. I use mindfulness to help engage each client and provide an opportunity to make significant changes in their lives by demonstrating compassion and being non-judgmental.
My focus
My focus is to offer a safe space to share your feelings and thoughts in a supportive and confidential environment. I have found that when clients feel safe, they can share their inner thoughts and begin the healing process to recovery and regain a sense of purpose in their life. I have worked in an array of settings from inpatient care to online therapy. I look forward to helping you navigate your path and helping you resolving your concerns through treating the whole person and not just the diagnosis.
My communication style
I am a laid-back person who enjoys helping others. I’m an active listener and want to hear about your story and your journey. While working and navigation your journey to healing I want my clients to feel safe and know that I’m here to listen and help you reach your goals. My clients are the experts of their life, and my goal is to help your become the best version of you.
My goals for you
I approach goal setting by helping the client see real and authentic progress through ensuring the client feels safe in their environment, feel understood, treatment planning, and is the authority on their life during the therapeutic process.
My first session with you
Clients can expect to feel safe and heard. Clients can expect sensitivity, compassion, and a non-judgmental space by meeting the client in the here and now. As a trauma informed therapist, it is imperative I be sensitive to past experiences of the client regarding their present challenges.
