Hi, it's nice to meet you! I am excited to introduce myself and share how I can support you on your journey towards healing and growth. My educational background is Social Work, so my training has prepared me to use a strengths-based approach rooted in empathy, understanding, and collaboration. I believe that each individual is the expert of their own life, and my role is to provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your experiences, challenges, and goals.
My approach
I draw from various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs and preferences. I believe the most important element is the quality of the therapeutic relationship above all else.
My focus
My specialization in addiction, codependency, and financial stress reflects my commitment to addressing complex issues that impact all of us. Through compassionate listening and empowerment, I strive to help you cultivate resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and build a life that is aligned with your values and aspirations. Healing is a collaborative process. Together, we will work towards creating positive change, fostering greater self-awareness, and unlocking your full potential!
My communication style
I would describe my communication style as warm and affirming. I want to make our sessions about you and your needs, so I try to listen for what you may need to feel best supported. I also enjoy including a fair amount of humor into therapy sessions. Humor is one of my favorite ways to cope!
My first session with you
For the first session, my goal is just to get to know you and what you have been experiencing that led you to seek therapy! I will likely ask a lot of questions to try and get a better understanding of your situation.
