My name is Laura Clayton and I am an LPC here in South Carolina. By looking at both conscious and unconscious beliefs, you can choose more adaptive beliefs & combine them with new behaviors which creates a whole new reality. I also understand how past traumas impact how you approach the present moment, and will address these root issues.
My approach
While insight and self-understanding are important, deep understanding of one's self does not always translate into behavioral change. I combine process and insight oriented psychotherapy with problem- solving, practical, CBT interventions that are done between sessions to maximize treatment.
My focus
I specialize in Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, behavioral issues as well as many other issues that individuals may struggle with.
My communication style
We'll examine the stories that you tell yourself that hold you back and keep you stuck. We'll learn to manage feelings and how we judge ourselves for them. We'll shift perspective on the values that we subscribe to and develop new skills to cope.
