Hi. I am Marsha, and I am glad you are here. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for supporting individuals, couples, and families through recovery from addictions, trauma, and loss while navigating changes and transitions.
My approach
Through a systemic, strength-based based, and trauma-informed approach, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and attachment-based therapy, I offer empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard to foster growth and healing.
My focus
I have enjoyed working with adolescents and their families through 10 years of my clinical experience and currently enjoy supporting adults and couples who suffer from symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma, such as PTSD and grief and loss.
My communication style
You will be treated with kindness and respect so that you feel comfortable and safe in this space. This is a process, and at first, I am driving the car, then you drive the car while I am the GPS until you no longer need it and can feel empowered and take back your life.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist to help families stay together even through trauma and hurts, and I continued to do this work because of how it feels to watch someone have that "ah-ha" moment and flourish. I am so passionate about supporting families that I also facilitate webinars and teach courses on how other therapists can support families with a trauma-informed approach.
My goals for you
Goals are set based on what you want to achieve and what you want out of therapy.
My first session with you
At first, there will be time to get to know each other, such as questions about you, what brought you to therapy, and what your goals are. If you have questions for me, don't be afraid to ask them.
