Hi there, I'm Sallee!

Sallee Kay Decker, LCSW, LMSW, CMC, CTP-II, CDP I am a down-to-earth, quirky, holistic clinical social worker who uses evidence-based techniques in innovative and creative ways to provide compassionate, empathetic, person-centered care.

My approach

I Integrate a holistic approach to help address the physical and emotional issues that come along with stress, overwhelm, and trauma. I Integrate a holistic approach to help address the physical and emotional issues that come along with stress, overwhelm, and trauma. I will spend time helping you learn grounding techniques coping skills and mindfulness. I use a variety of modalities including CBT, mindfulness, somatic experience, nontraditional techniques, and more.

My focus

I specialize in working with adults on life changes, self-esteem, grief, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and adjustment. Whether you are navigating a difficult transition in your life, dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues, cycles of anxiety and depression, or working through trauma, I will meet you where you are in your life at this moment with open ears and provide you with a safe space to share your story.

My communication style

My objective is to provide a genuinely compassionate person-centered therapeutic experience where you are safe to be your authentic self and feel supported and validated as you learn new skills, heal, grow, and ultimately restore balance in your life.

My journey to mental healthcare

I am a natural-born helper. I have always known I wanted to be in the helping profession. I have always been a helper since a young age and people have always come to me for support and helpful discussions. I originally planned to go into psychology but quickly shifted to social work as this offers a holistic framework that incorporates the whole person and environment approach. I have worked in Care management and hospice/medical social work for many years. I hold certifications in trauma-informed practice, dementia, and helping caregivers. I find it honorable to have people trust and allow me to support, validate, and help them at some of the most vulnerable times in their lives. Working in hospice and care management has shaped my practice of helping people be present and work through the barriers that prevent them from living a life with joy and balance. It has given me a unique perspective on quality of life.

My goals for you

We will be working together to tailor therapeutic tools to help you meet your goals. We will work together to do what works best for you.

My first session with you

The initial session will be us getting to know each other and taking time for you to ask questions and start to gain more knowledge about the therapy process. We will take some time to talk about why you have decided to seek support and what your goals are.
