Andrew Bauer, licensed marriage & family therapist. I approach therapy collaboratively while using family systems therapy. I view client issues as symptoms of relationship struggles and conflicts. Reconnecting & healing close relationships while building a new therapeutic relationship is a recipe for success.
My approach
Unconditional positive regard/acceptance of all clients along with CBT and Mindfulness complement Family Therapy very well.
My focus
I enjoy working with young adult, adult, to older adult clients. Family conflict, life transitions, discovering/teaching healthier coping strategies, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting struggles, men’s issues, and mind-body connection.
My communication style
I create a safe, non-judgmental, & genuine therapeutic space for all clients by taking the time to build trust in our new relationship. I learn from my clients as we collaboratively form/define treatment goals.
