My name is Jenn DiTrocchio and I am a licensed mental health counselor. My main goal is to support each client in where they are at in their journey. I allow my clients the space to be heard. I will set a small goal each week with my clients to help them be accountable and help with their journey.
My approach
I always say each client is different so one approach doesn’t fit all. I typically like to use CBT, DBT, solution-focused and psychodynamic.
My focus
I usually work with clients age 18 and older. I like to help clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and family/relationship issues.
My communication style
I would say I’m very down-to-earth and approachable. I would say I’m easy to talk to and my goal is to make each client feel heard and not judged. I hope my clients find that they are able to process whatever they may be going through with me. I
My journey to mental healthcare
I was a shy child and in high school, I took a psychology class which really interested me. I always knew I wanted to help others especially with recognizing their full potential and building their confidence being that those were things that I struggled with. I realized that everyone at times needs a little support and how important it is to take care of our mental health.
My goals for you
I like to discuss a small step each week that the client can focus on accomplishing for the week. Each week I like to check in to see if that goal was achieved. We will discuss barriers and what is helpful in order to achieve their goals.
My first session with you
I will ask a lot of questions just to get to know the client. The client is welcome to share as much as they feel comfortable with. We will go over what goals they want to accomplish in therapy. I also will answer any questions that the client has.
