Hello! My name is Diana Klebanoff, a licensed clinical social worker with over thirty years of experience. I retired from my medical social work position three years ago to focus on providing individual therapy via the telehealth platform. My experience using this platform has demonstrated to me that a close, trusting relationship can be developed and significant therapeutic gains made.
My approach
Our work together is built upon the therapeutic relationship that we establish. I honor, truth, respect, and honesty. Your feedback on how and why the session is helpful will be of paramount importance so we can ensure that you feel you are being listened to and your needs are being addressed. The tenets of supportive, cognitive behavioral, and positive/strength-based therapies will be utilized.
My focus
Most of my patients struggle with loss, grief anxiety, and depression. I prefer working with adults aged 21 and over.
My communication style
My clients consistently tell me that they feel heard, respected, and cared for. I will give you my full attention and we will work together to establish your goals.
My goals for you
Goal setting allows us to evaluate how and if your needs are being met. The foremost goal is to establish a therapeutic relationship. I have found that goals change as the therapy deepens/continues. Goals are never set in stone.
My first session with you
I will introduce myself and tell you a bit about myself. I will ask you to share pertinent family history, what you hope to gain, and what your foremost concerns are. I may do an anxiety and depression screening. I will tell you that the first meeting is primarily for us to establish whether we are a "good match".
