Hello, I am Deborah A. Lopez, LCSW, MPA, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State. My approach is person-centered and I focus on assisting people to learn skills that promote wellness.

I have extensive experience in providing trauma-informed interventions, motivational counseling, solution-focused, and psychoeducation in many healing practices.
My focus
I am skilled at working with people who struggle with anger management, anxiety, depression, employment and financial stress, grief, family conflict, grief, life transitions, mood disorders, self-esteem, sleep or insomnia, spirituality, stress, trauma and PTSD, and Women's Issues.
My communication style
My style is very laid back and relaxed. Communication is conversational and empathetic. Sessions take place in a very judgment free, safe, and soothing tone.
My journey to mental healthcare
My career as a psychotherapist began in the 1990s. I felt that my empathetic and caring nature would be strengths that I could use to assist people in need. It is important to me that I be of service and help people to live their best lives.
