I earned a master's degree in social work in 1982 and have subsequently pursued advanced training in relational psychotherapy and trauma and gender-informed care with adolescents and adults. My treatment approach is built on the uniqueness of each client regarding their strengths and emotional needs and will use other methods to optimize treatment.
My approach
My approach to therapy utilizes Attachment-based, Culturally Sensitive, Eclectic, Humanistic, Psychoanalytic, Psychodynamic, Relational, Integrative or Integral Psychotherapy, Object Relations, and Supportive. I am acutely sensitive to the need for clients to feel they can feel safe in an environment of empathy. Collaboration is a cornerstone of how I work where clients play an equal role in the process.
My focus
I’m passionate about helping clients who are in recovery from substance abuse and alcoholism, and those who suffered from trauma in childhood and adulthood. Women’s issues, relationships, gender, sexuality, and spirituality are issues regularly explored and supported in treatment.

Clients can rely on my ability to listen, be present, and commit to partnering in their journey to wellness and a fulfilling life. I am naturally curious about what makes people tick and look at their challenges as a pathway to developing important growth and creating a more meaningful life.
