Hi there, I'm Dionne!

My name is Dionne Wallace, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My approach to therapy is meeting the client exactly where you are, allowing you to be the expert and I be your collaborator to enhance your quality of life.

My approach

My approach is providing a safe place for clients to feel comfortable and at ease sharing their life challenges. Psychodynamic, psycho-education and empowerment approaches is key to my delivery of services.

My focus

Young adults, adults and geriatric population.

My communication style

I always provide a safe space for the client to feel free to discuss issues that they are not particularly comfortable with discussing with anyone else. My stance is non-judgmental supportive, and warm.

My journey to mental healthcare

I am a helping professional, and being of service to others brings joy to my life. I realized that the characteristics I possess, such as compassion, empathy, and emotional intelligence, were ideally suited to a career as a therapist. I felt that this was the only career path that could possibly be fulfilling.

My goals for you

I allow the client to create a map of their goals and I assist with clarity, support and feedback that would hopefully guide to client to success and fulfillment.

My first session with you

I would love to get to know the client, background information if they are comfortable with sharing. I am a great listener, however I would like to set the tone for what working with me would entail.
