Hi there! My name is Nicolette Jacobs and I am an LCSW located in Nevada. I believe there are benefits to having a therapist that can help provide feedback, support, and genuine care for others and their well-being in a safe and judgement free environment.
My approach
My therapeutic approach focuses on helping people from all walks of life find their voice in addressing and facing their challenges in life. Through guidance, I hope to engage youth, individuals, families, and couples find the encouragement and strength to foster their own resilience and self-sufficiency. I meet clients where they are at and work together with them to achieve their goals. I use various modalities including but not limited to CBT, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused.
My focus
I work with all clients 8 years old and older. I assist clients with managing depression, anxiety, anger management, conflict resolution, burnout, adjustment disorders, coping skills, Co-dependency, and relationship issues.
My communication style
My desire is to create a comfortable environment that allows you to safely express your feelings without judgement. My communication style is flexible and client centered.
My journey to mental healthcare
Throughout my life I have always had a passion for helping people become the best versions of themselves. My own experiences have allowed me to truly empathize with those facing challenges who may need extra support, guidance, and someone they can trust when they feel like the world is on their shoulders.
My goals for you
I provide a safe space for clients to express their needs and assist in helping clients create goals that are specific, measurable, realistic and attainable. This allows my clients to feel empowered and motivated to continue to grow in their personal journey.
My first session with you
I will be trying to get to know you as well as allow you to get to know me as your therapist. I will ask many questions to better understand your needs and where you are currently at in life and give you a space to ask questions as well.
