My name is Jessica Konkol M.A CPC and I am passionate about helping my clients learn and grow and supporting them in their life journey.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is person centered. I believe that the client is the expert in their lives, and I serve as a guide, support, and confidant. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies to help patients examine their thoughts and belief systems and to assess whether their current approaches are working for them or not, then working to incorporate changes where needed.
My focus
I work with individuals from varying ages across the lifespan from teenagers to older adults. I work with patients who are going through difficult times in their lives, have anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
My communication style
My focus is to create a safe space were clients feel comfortable to share their thoughts and feelings. I will provide empathy and support along with helpful suggestions for the client to consider for themselves.
My journey to mental healthcare
I've always known that I've wanted to enter a profession that was focused on helping others. It is so rewarding to see my clients grow and become healthier and happier. Leaving a positive mark on the lives of other people has always been important to me.
My goals for you
The client is the driver of their treatment, so the emphasis is on the areas that the client wishes to work on.
My first session with you
For the first session, the aim is to begin to get to know the client and discuss their goals. The initial session is primarily for information gathering to set up a path forward for therapy.
