Hi there, I'm Arcelia!

My name is Arcelia Ibarra and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New Mexico. I provide telehealth therapy services to clients statewide. I use a Holistic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach when working with clients. I work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship issues.

My approach

My approach is client-centered and strength based using Holistic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This approach helps understand how thoughts, feelings, and behavior can impact each other and allows us to work towards positive patterns.

My focus

I work with adolescents and adults looking to find balance and happiness. I like to help people that are dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship issues.

My communication style

My communication style is clear, calm, supportive, and positive. I like to create a safe space for clients to be able to trust me while they begin their healing journey.

My journey to mental healthcare

I made the decision to because a therapist as I enjoy helping others. I have been in the mental health field since 2008. I understand how hard life can be and how mental health struggles can impact our happiness. I enjoy seeing people make changes and reach their goals. I see the value of therapy and of having a respectful and positive client-therapist relationship.

My goals for you

We will work together on goal setting. I want clients to feel comfortable as we collaboratively identify realistic goals that will help improve the previously identified problems or challenges.

My first session with you

During our first session we will start to get know each other and learn about your history. We will talk about what has been going on in you life and the reasons for coming to therapy. I don't want you to feel pressure and only want you to share what you are comfortable sharing. We will move at your pace.
