Hi! My name is Julie Raborn and I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Albuquerque, NM. I believe that all humans have the capacity to heal and experience change, even radical change.
My approach
I believe that all humans have the capacity to heal and experience desired change; even radical change. As a therapist I embrace a variety of therapeutic approaches, most often utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Narrative and Relational approaches. I believe that clients can do their best work when a therapist is compassionate, non-judgmental and attuned to their unique strengths and needs.
My focus
My areas of therapeutic focus include substance misuse, childhood and adult traumas and life transitions. Many clients I see struggle with substance misuse, depression, anxiety, developmental traumas and life transitions. I primarily work with adults ages 18+.
My communication style
My communication style is welcoming, engaging and personable. I work to support clients in creating a space that is safe, calm and adaptable to client's unique therapeutic needs.
