My name is Jaime Barilla, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey. I like to use a strength-based, person center approach with my clients. I have much experience with children, teenagers, college students, adults, trauma, anxiety, depression, family conflict, parent-child conflict, self-esteem, parenting skills, and relationship issues.

I commonly use cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy as far as my therapy approaches.

My journey to mental healthcare
I have always liked to help others, especially my friends when I was in high school! I myself have experienced hardships and I like to use what I have learned from those experiences to help others.

I work with the client collaboratively on helping them to set up their treatment goals.
My first session with you
Clients can expect the first session to be a casual assessment for me to get to know to the client, to get to know what their treatment goals are, and to build a good working relationship.
