Hey Hey! I am Tysheira Maddox, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of NJ, PA, and D.C. As your therapist, I will be journeying by your side as we work through your most challenging moments and the self-limiting thoughts that keep you from living the life you desire.
My approach
My counseling style is warm, laid back, and sprinkled with some humor. My most common approaches that I like to use from my therapy tool kit are CBT, DBT, Narrative and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
My focus
Allowing individuals to lead the trajectory of redefining their lives while receiving empowerment and acceptance along the way. I specialize in helping individuals who struggle with adjusting to life transitions, women’s issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I will assist you in overcoming debilitating fears and negative thought patterns.
My communication style
Working with me is like hanging with the girl next door! I create an environment during sessions for my clients to be their authentic selves that often involved trendy slangs and catchy phrases. I believe in being transparent as it is the foundation for ultimate transformation.
My first session with you
During our first session together, I'll be ready to with listening ears to get a full picture of what life has been like before you made the decision to seek support. We'll complete some ice-breakers that will get us both comfortable to engage with one another. Client will be fully aware and understand each question I ask and what the next steps will be moving forward.
