My name is Rachel Johnson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have a background in behavioral health services including substance use and mental health. I utilize a variety of approaches to assist individuals in what they need. Let's work together to figure out what works best for you!
My approach
My therapeutic approach includes Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Strengths Based Approaches.
My focus
I typically work with adults age ranged from 18-65 years old struggling with some sort of behavioral health need whether that be addiction and/or mental health.
My communication style
I am very laid back and meet people where they are at. I will work/walk beside you and assist in any way that I can so that we can get you to your goals.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always been drawn to working with people and have made a career out of it. My drive for this work is to help others who may be struggling with something in their lives and do what I can to assist people to get where they want to be.
My goals for you
We will discuss goals in the first couple of sessions to see what it is you want to work towards. It is always important to have goals to have an idea of what to work towards. If these goals change throughout the process, we will refocus.
My first session with you
The first session will include getting to know each other, setting goals for the therapy process, discussing how often and the best times/days for therapy, and what works best for you for the best outcome.
