Hi, my name is Torri. I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina. My goal is to help you along your journey to happiness while eradicating the mental health stigma, particularly in the Black community and other communities of color. I am a CBT and solution-focused therapist who works with my clients at their pace to help them reach their goals. I am down-to-earth and have a relaxed vibe.
My approach
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a goal-oriented psychotherapy that focuses on the relationship between an individual’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and addressing dysfunctional patterns. While we will spend some time gathering information from your past experiences, Solution-Focused therapy focuses on identifying your concerns and/or issues, exploring your hope for the future, and working towards resolutions. Believing that individuals function as part of a larger system, I also take a family systems approach to therapy.
My focus
You may be seeking counseling for a wide variety of reasons, from coping with major life challenges, family and relationship conflicts, to dealing with stress, depression, or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self-awareness. I want to help you along your journey - because you're worth it.
