My name is LoriAnn Ford. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been in practice for 6 years. I am a compassionate and direct therapist.
My approach
I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Stress Management, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness.
My focus
I have experience treating anxiety, behavioral issues, depression, stress, and trauma.
My communication style
I create a safe, non-judgmental environment for people. I believe we all go through a hard time in life and at some point, will need someone to listen, empathize, and provide sound advice and guidance.
My journey to mental healthcare
I wanted to become a therapist to help people work through and solve problems in their lives. I want to be a soft place to fall, so that people feel valued, nurtured, and encouraged.
My goals for you
It is critical to create goals in therapy. I use a collaborative approach to create treatment goals.
My first session with you
During the first session, I will complete a biopsychosocial assessment. I will learn more about the presenting issue(s), medical history, social environment, and strengths. We will also create a treatment plan.
