My name is Anthony Hines and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have a vast amount of life experience, a wide range of social perspectives, an emphatic ear to hear, and a natural motivator, With over 25 years of government experience, 10 years of corporate, 10 years non-profit, and over 20 years of counseling experience, I am equipped to help you walk through almost any scenario.
My approach
I am offering therapeutic support to individuals, veterans, couples, and families. My approach to psychotherapy is to provide empathy and support while giving you useful feedback and insight to help resolve difficulties you are experiencing. We will work together to help you find the tools and resources necessary to help you cope with stressful situations.
My focus
My clinical experience includes adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have expertise in the areas of PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship issues. I currently provide individual counseling to adults and teenagers age 13 and older, couples, and family counseling with older teens and adults. I also offer expertise in Christian Counseling.
My communication style
My practice is unique because I am able to connect with people on different levels. I set an atmosphere that is judgment-free, which allows us to approach any and all scenarios with sensitivity, but also us the opportunity to collectively deep-dive to find practical solutions to life issues that have presented challenges.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always had the desire to help people as a child. Other people's journeys have always fascinated me, as well as the understanding that there are no two people alike. That led me to find ways to celebrate the differences in people and to appreciate the uniqueness of everyone.
My goals for you
I work with all clients in setting goals as this is an essential aspect of therapy. It provides direction, helps in measuring progress, and engages you in the therapeutic process. Effective goals set in therapy should be specific, measurable, achievable, and flexible.
My first session with you
The very first we will get to know each other, take care of any administrative items, establish trust, gather information, set goals, and explain the next steps.
