Hello, my name is Katheryn Hubbard. I am a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina with 20 years of professional work experience. I enjoy working with adults, children, and teens. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
My approach
My counseling approach is very client-centered, meaning I am here to focus on your goals for therapy, whatever they may be. My approach is largely based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I often pull from other theoretical approaches such as mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
My focus
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, compassion fatigue, work/life balance concerns, coping with grief and loss, depression, relationship concerns, & coping with life changes.
My communication style
. My counseling style is pretty laid-back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and encouraging, with a pretty good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I'm here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment.
