My name is Rose Gallagher. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina working with clients via telehealth. I work with adolescents, adults, and the elderly. I specialize in trauma therapy, parenting skills, and education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Strength Based Approaches to promote wellness in clients to help others feel better.
My approach
My approach to therapy is person-centered. I am committed to helping clients identify their needs and goals and working toward achieving their goals. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strength Based therapeutic interventions to help clients build a trusting relationship to work through difficulties they are facing in their day-to-day life.
My focus
I am comfortable working with adolescents and adults who need assistance navigating challenges in life. I have experience working with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting skills, boundary setting, anger management, and learning to implement coping mechanisms. I am to provide clients with a better understanding of who they are to best achieve their goals.
My communication style
I have a calm and open communication style. My goal is to allow an atmosphere that allows a trustful relationship where everyone feels comfortable to fully engage in the therapeutic session.
My journey to mental healthcare
I believe people are able to achieve efficiently whatever one wants to do when given the necessary tools. It drives me to see individuals learning about themselves and growing mentally and emotionally. I enjoy seeing others reach their goals.
My goals for you
When it comes to client goals I believe clients are ultimately in charge of what are their long-term and short-term goals. Everyone has unique goals they would like to accomplish at their own rate of time. I am here to help you set your goals and be a support to you in accomplishing them. Over time, we will periodically check in to see how you are progressing.
My first session with you
I believe each person is unique and has needs that vary. I prefer to ensure I am doing my best to meet each person's specific needs. In the first session, you can expect us to spend the majority of time discussing how you are feeling and me asking questions to gain a deeper understanding of why you are feeling that way. In our first session, we will discuss your expectations of therapy and what you wish to gain from therapeutic sessions together. I will answer any questions you may have about therapy and how to discuss future therapy sessions.
