Hi! My name is Erin Duckett and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina. I work with adults using evidence-based therapy treatments to assist clients to empower themselves, achieve goals, and work toward gaining back control over their lives.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I focus on Person-Centered care using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This means we will break down goals into small manageable steps to achieve positive outcome(s).
My focus
I typically work with adults facing life transitions such as grief, career changes, relationship challenges, stressful life events, and/or personal growth. This may present as feeling stuck, depressed, and/or anxious. Clients and I work together to learn coping skills, gain insight, and find solutions to reach individual goals.
My communication style
I provide a safe, calm, easy-going, and welcoming space to explore concerns and collaborate solutions to assist you in moving forward on your journey.
My journey to mental healthcare
I am naturally helpful and want to be a resource to help navigate the world with all its ups, downs, losses, and challenges with others. My experience working with horses and domestic animals, manufacturing, human resources, quality control, purchasing, dialysis, and hospice has provided me with a vast background. I have learned that we all need a hand up sometimes with an understanding and accepting person by your side.
My goals for you
My approach to goal setting is collaborative. I partner with clients as a guide while they define their goals and how they want to accomplish them. I use encouragement, support, and empowerment to achieve this.
My first session with you
During the first session, we will spend time talking, answering questions, and getting to know you while you tell me your story. We will also explore what you want to get out of our time together. Listening and getting to know you will help me get a better sense of how to assist you on your journey.
