My name is Mercedes Pierce, LCMHC and I look forward to helping you! With previous experience working in a mental health hospital, I am familiar with treating several diagnoses.
My approach
I specialize in CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. However, I tailor my approach to the client’s needs.
My focus
I typically work with clients 12 years of age and older dealing with ADHD, depression, anxiety, family conflict, and life changes (such as becoming a new parent and going away to college).
My communication style
I value the importance of therapeutic rapport. Therefore, clients can expect a non-judgmental space, with a straightforward therapist that leads with empathy.
My journey to mental healthcare
As someone who has first-hand experience with depression and anxiety, I understand the importance of having someone trusted to talk to/help you. Helping others genuinely makes me feel good! My goal is to help as many people as I can before my time is up- help me, help you!

I believe that clients are the leaders of their life and I am merely playing a supporting role. Clients will set their own goals and I will be there to help you achieve them!
My first session with you
During our first session, clients can expect a more relaxed conversation. I understand that it can be hard for some to completely open up to a stranger during an initial meeting; we can go at your pace.
